Holding G-d's Perspective: Shalom Mind

The soul contradicts itself. That is ok. The soul contains multitudes. We must work towards a peace that includes tensions. We must work to build a community that includes tensions.

First Ever Seekers Retreat at Eden Village Camp

Our Seeker families and teachers spent the last weekend in April on retreat in Eden Village deepening their bonds to one another in the great outdoors. Despite many hours of planning the weekend bore only a tentative relationship to our detailed plan. Some scheduled activities never happened and we were often so engaged in what we were doing we forgot about eating (imagine!) and sleeping. Kids played and chatted through the night and adults were constantly immersed in conversation.

Becoming Good, Deep and Alive

May more tolerance, progress, compassion and new readings of our old truths help us all live up to our highest aspirations and make this a more holy, healthy and happy world.

On Boston: Rabbi David Ingber

Two days ago, we watched again as an act of unspeakable brutality was committed against innocent victims. We watched, as yet again, violence tore at the fabric of our basic sense of safety and security, our core trust in life's predictability. A piece of our collective innocence is lost each time human cruelty of this magnitude finds us, each time we witness pain and suffering inflicted wantonly, cruelly.
