Join us for a fun, interactive, and dramatic journey through the Book of Esther! Megillah reading begins at 8:30 pm and will be combined with insightful shpeils created by members of our community. This is your chance to be a part of the Purim story and experience the Megillah reading in a whole new way! After the Megillah reading, take part in a festive Pish Tish led by Rebetzin Hadassah Gross, Rabbi David, and Storahtelling Company Members, and enjoy hamentaschen, drinks, and music.
Stay tuned for more details on how to get involved with the Purim Playshop.
In the spirit of matanot l'evyonim (giving gifts to the needy on Purim), please bring a box of pasta (or other noisy food item) to use as your grogger during the Megillah reading. Afterwards, all food will be collected and donated to the food pantry at West End Presbyterian Church.
Before our Megillah reading, one of our members Andrew Gaines will be leading our very first Purim Playshop. Through creative games and Bibliodrama, we will create our own shpiels with costumes, masks, puppets, props, and more. Participants will have the option to perform our zany (and insightful) scenes during the Megillah reading following the Purim Playshop. No acting experience is required; all are welcome.
