During this period of the pandemic, Romemu has been an often daily presence in my life. I experience a deep resonance with the spirit, warmth, approach to and expression of tefilah, study and community at Romemu. Even before the pandemic arrived, I had been frequently attending online Shabbat services. Now with the expansion of online activity, I have been able to widen and deepen my participation. I so appreciate the spiritually, emotionally and intellectually inspiring levels of teaching and leadership of the rabbinic and davenning team and participation of community members. It is my kavanah and hope to deepen my sense of belonging with this remarkable community: thank you for these many many gifts! . I am conscious in this moment of how becoming a member is a kind of kavanah for aligning my yesod/foundation with with the radiant and profound yesod/foundation of Romemu, watered by this community’s abundance of tiferet.
