Get Involved in Your Community
All Romemu members are invited to the Annual Community on Wednesday, May 17 at 7 PM. Learn more about the meeting here.
If you will be joining us onsite at the Romemu Center, come early for a potluck dinner at 6 PM.
Register to let us know what you will bring to the potluck or to receive the Zoom link here.
Why do you join a community? You can list up all the things that you read on the membership package. You’re entitled to two tickets. You’re going to have pastoral care. But, it is deeper than that. You join a community because it touched you somewhere deep inside; because you realize if I am not a model, if I don’t step in and pay dues, there won’t be a Romemu anymore. You say ‘I don’t know what I get for it, but I know what I’ve gotten from it.’ And so because of that, I want to be here for a long time. It hit me deep. It crashed through my surfaces, it opened me up. That’s worth the price of admission. That’s membership. It’s not quid pro quo instrumentality. It’s not a gym membership. It’s a community.
Romemu is a daily presence in our lives.
There are many ways to engage with Romemu. Whether you are interested in deepening your Jewish learning, looking for ways to meet new people, or serve through social action, there is a group that is right for you.
