Past Holiday Programs

Interested in spending the holidays in Brooklyn?

Here are examples of previous Romemu Brooklyn holiday programs:

Choose-Your-Own-Adventure Passover

After a year in the wilderness, we’re almost back to the promised land of in-person community. But before we get there, we stop, as a community, to tell the story of the Exodus from Egypt.
Romemu Brooklyn’s Seder brings the creativity that defines our community to the Haggadah. Beginning and ending together, all those zooming out of Egypt will choose their own chag-venture, exploring the story of the Pesach through poetry, mindfulness, music, or Torah.

Shabbat Cooking Classes with Vered Guttman

Mixing bowl? Check. Recipes? Check. Oven preheated? Check. Zoom with Vered Guttman? Check. Ready to get your hands in the mixing bowl? Join us for three Shabbat Cooking Classes with Vered Guttman! This class will teach you all about Israeli cooking and create Shabbat dishes.

Whoa-Mer: The Counting Of The Omer

It’s the most mystical time of the year. The seven weeks of the Omer (between Passover and Shavuot) are planted deep within seven of the kabbalistic mystical spheres. Every Sunday night at 8 PM ET, a collaboration of friends and teachers will study that week’s sefirah (Kabbalistic spheres and counting of the Omer).
