Rabbi David Ingber

Rabbi David A. Ingber is the Founder and Senior Rabbi of Romemu, and Senior Director of 92NY’s Bronfman Center for Jewish Life, where he serves as Rabbi of 92NY. Ordained by Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi, founder of the Jewish Renewal movement, Rabbi David established Romemu in New York City in 2006.
His approach to Torah, Jewish mysticism, prayer, and spirituality is deeply rooted in the lineage of the Hasidic masters and informed by a broad range of philosophy, psychology, and religious thought.
Rabbi David has been named by Newsweek as one of the 50 most influential rabbis in the United States as well as by The Forward as one of the 50 most newsworthy and notable Jews in America. He has become a nuanced but clarion voice in support of Israel post-Oct 7th, and a frequent contributer to mainstream media and Jewish commentary. In addition to his roles at Romemu and 92NY, he also serves on the faculty for the Wexner Heritage Program and The Shalom Hartman Institute of North America and Israel. Rabbi David lives in Manhattan with his amazing wife Ariel and their three children, Baer, Tal, and Or.
